   Marinated Tempeh Slices  
       
   
Ingredients :  
1 package of tempeh
1/4 cup shoyu/soy sauce
few ginger slices
1-2 smashed and peeled garlic cloves
1 cup water
sesame oil
 
   
Directions :  
1. Cut tempeh into desired shapes.
2. In a saucepan combine tempeh, water, shoyu, garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Remove tempeh from the broth.
4. Add 1-2 teaspoons sesame oil to a frying pan. Fry tempeh until golden brown.
5. Drain on brown paper bags.
 
   
Variations :  
Brush the slices with oil and broil them.
